



Before taking your Practical Test, you must pass a Theory and Hazard Perception Test to obtain your Theory Certificate.
THEORY TEST:
This is a multiple 50 question test.To pass, you must answer 43 or more questions correctly within 57 minutes. Your Last 5 Questions Will involve A Case Study.
HAZARD PERCEPTION TEST:
Part 2 of your Theory Test and contains a seies of 14 one minute video clips showing potential road hazards. You have to indentify 15 developing hazards of which one will contain two hazards. You need to spot these quickly, and score at least 44 outof 75 to pass this test.
THE PRACTICAL TEST:
This is your big day! Make sure you have both parts of your provisional licence and your theory test certificate when you arrive for your test.
Try to RELAX!! The Examiner will call your name, and you will have to sign a declaration of insurance at the top of your Driving Test Report. After an EYE TEST which involves reading a vehicle number plate at a minimum distance of 20.5 metres, you will be asked to carry out a couple of simple safety checks, or 'SHOW ME TELL ME' questions regarding your car.
Then you will be on the road for about 35-40 minutes, which will involve a 10 Minute Independant Drive, carry out One exercise involving reversing, and maybe an emergency stop. Just imagine your instructor along side you! Good Luck!
